Mrs. Glenn and Mrs. Craft have been busy visiting classrooms as Mrs. Potato Head! Students have been learning about the different parts of a social worker's job and available supports as the different pieces of Mrs. Potato Head. Students are also learning to identify other members of their support team inside and outside of the school building. 💙💛

Open to all!

Mr. Birkmeier, Mrs. Beuthin, and Mrs. Loy are having a meeting for you to get information and be able to ask questions all of those things! 💙💛

What a perfectly cozy day to spend some time inside doing some needlecraft with a warm drink at the Panther Pack Cafe! Join us from 3-4!

Special guest in the art room! We were thrilled to welcome local artist Stephen Hargash to work with our students Thursday, mentoring them as they carve and detail their relief sculptures.
Next stop: the Frankenmuth Fire Arts Festival! Join us on September 25–26 at Heritage Park in Frankenmuth, where our students won’t just be showing their work—they’ll also get hands-on experience participating in live workshops throughout the event. Come out, support our talented young artists, and watch the creative sparks fly! 💙💛

Highlighting the Learning at Birch Run Schools! 🔎💳🎨📖🎭💵🎺📊🔧🎥🌎 🪚🤸
Yesterday, Mr. Grady’s Home Maintenance Class got to go into the shop for the first time and start learning some basics about drills. Students are getting hands on learning experiences in life skills and for some, the first steps in career training. Can’t wait to see the drywall project later in the year! 💙💛

Today, Mrs. Maksimchuk’s Personal Finance classes learned about banking from Cheryl Hecht from Frankenmuth Credit Union.
This lesson does not end today though- all year long students are learning from Mrs. Maksimchuk about the things Cheryl spoke about: responsibility, scholarships, investing, loans, credit scores, different types of banking accounts, and the list goes on.
Did you know that Frankenmuth Credit Union has an actual branch open on Wednesdays in the BRHS cafeteria where students can make withdrawals & deposits, just like they could at the bank. Mrs. Maksimchuk’s personal finance students sign up to work & help Cheryl with the transactions each week as they get a little experience with banking. Thank you Mrs. Maksimchuk for partnering with FCU to enrich the education of our Panthers 💙💛

On Saturday, Mr. Bossenberger took some of the Birch Run Marching Band members to participate in SVSU Band Day! The students worked together with the collegiate band and students from 20 other band programs to put together a half time show in ONE rehearsal!
The students were led by Birch Run Band Alumni, Cierra Nowicki and Allyson Miller, who are now Marching Cardinals! The experiences the students at Birch Run have while in high school make connections for them going forward in their life & we are proud to see Birch Run alumni taking what they learned here and applying it after high school! 💙💛

Transportation issues? Morning stress? Family schedule changes? Reach out early—schools can connect you to supports before absences add up.
