Here's a behind the scenes picture of Mrs. Glenn. She does so many great things for our students and school to foster great mental health, self confidence, good choices, and great character. Many may not know we have daily video announcements! Mrs. Glenn puts together our daily video announcements that have character or behavior lessons. Here she is videotaping a class reciting the Pledge so they can be leaders on the announcements. She and Miss Ferry are a wonderful team and we appreciate them both! This is just one example of the many, many things they do!

bond proposals are a very common way for districts to address facility needs. without bonds, districts are left using operating dollars for infrastructure projects. this has a direct negative impact on the classroom, often resulting in higher class sizes. Be sure to understand the November Bond Proposal before voting.

Birch run area schools has over 317,000 square feet of roof surface across the district. About 20% of those roofs are 25+ years old and would be the primary focus of roof replacement with funds from the November bond proposal.

North elementary is home to nearly 750 students, of which about 100 of them are preschoolers or young 5s. we are very proud of our preschool offerings but these additional students have resulted in a building at max capacity. The November bond proposal includes adding classrooms to north to alleviate overcrowding and potentially lower class sizes across the building.

The students enjoyed participating in the Birch Run Education Foundation's annual fundraiser- the Walkathon for Teacher Grants. Thank you to everyone who donated. Your money will be put to great use and help students enjoy projects or resources they would not otherwise get to. Thank you to the volunteers. We had fun despite the rain- some grades had to walk in the gym. A big thank you to our Specials teachers who walked all day long while supervising our students! What an awesome team! Ms. Lucas, Mrs. Periard, Mrs. Bomba, Mrs. Rodammer, and Mrs. Casteel.
